Our next interviewee is Dustin Brown of Mr. Right and the Leftovers. Rockabilly on the Route is just a few short weeks away, so blast those motors and get ready to rock!

Tell us about yourself?

I been involved with music for about 15 years, started playing the guitar and then moved to the drums. I played drums in many bands over the years. I started to write songs for the last band I was playing drums with (Rusty Curtians). Members of that band moved to Massachusetts and thats when I decided to start Mr. Right and the Leftovers with Lou Gomes (Bassist) where I now play guitar and sing.

Tell us about your band?

The band is based around having a good time. All of us members have our day jobs and play music as a means to escape from the day to day grind. It is a great excuse to get together with the boys, hang out and drink beer.

How long have you been involved with the rockabilly scene?

About 8 years

Besides music, what are your passions?

Like many Rockabilly guys, I like cars, women and whiskey. I also own a Auto repair shop that I am very passionate about

What do you think is the appeal of mid-20th century Americana?

The perception of it being a simplier way of life, the clothes and the cars.

How does it feel to be involved with a big festival like Rockabilly on the Route?

Very exciting, it is going to be a blast! Also excited to drive the old cars threw the desert. It will be a reliability test on our cars

What bands are you looking forward too?

I’m excited to see the whole show. I’ve seen Wanda Jackson and the Chop Tops, they put on a great show. I am always excited to see new bands that I never have seen before.

Anything else you’d like to plug?

Just like to say thank you for the interview
