As a New Orleanian, I have adopted a vintage, retro, rockabilly style that is right at home in a city that loves traditional jazz music, swing dancing, blues, and rock’n’roll.

I have been dancing with a group called the Nola Chorus Girls for five years, and we perform at local venues, festivals, and our many, many parades for all occasions. We wear original vintage-inspired costumes and dance to jazz and swing standards as performed by wonderful local musicians. I started hula hooping five years ago, as well, and while I’m not the most skilled, I am a pretty good hoop dancer with a few tricks up my sleeve (or around my waist, I guess!)

I work as an actor on the many local productions, feature films and popular television shows, that film in and around the New Orleans area.

I love photography and being photographed and am most inspired by the relationship between Bettie Page and Bunny Yeager. I am interested in the many self-portraits Bunny Yeager produced, as I find that photographs I take of myself capture something special that I don’t always see in the ones that other people shoot of me. This photograph, however, was taken by the lovely Andreas Koch of @nolapus. I’d like to give Lori Colgin her due credit for makeup and hair, too! I appreciate the opportunity to be featured as your Pinup of the Week!
