Marisol Arias

Hi my name is Marisol Arias. I grew up in Paramount, California.  I always felt a need to be different. I never wanted to wear clothing or accessories that everyone else had. I wanted to stand out among the rest.  During my high school year my fashion choices won’t the greatest but who’s were?

I live a very busy life.  I’m the mother of 13 year old and 11 year old daughters. I’m also a devote wife/housewife.  Most recently I became the owner of High Drama Boutique.

I began selling fashion jewelry about 7 years to make extra income.  While attending FIDM (The Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising) I used the money I made from selling jewelry to pay for school supplies, lunch and school parking. I started designing my hair pieces less than a year ago when I moved to Bakersfield, California.  I was tired of finding the same hair accessories everywhere I went.   One day I walked into a hair salon and saw a lovely red rose with a plastic skeleton hand attached to it. I remember thinking to myself I like it but it needs something else, something to really make it stand out. The wheels in my head started turning. I thought to myself, “what if I place an image in the middle of a flower. “ Being a huge fan of horror films and pin-up fashion I began to look for images that were rockabilly inspired.  Once I found the images I needed something to hold them and protect them from wear and tear.  I began collecting the bottle caps my husband left behind and purchased glass circle online.  Thus my designs were born.
